If you meditate and live in Vermont, or love our state from anywhere else, join us! We gather on the second and fourth Sundays of each month at 7:30 PM on Zoom.
Our philosophy is simple: there is a common core at the center of all religions. This is direct mystic experience, an aspect of our humanity. The film "With One Voice" presents this beautifully. Our group cultivates this experience, so it's natural that those who meditate or pray in any way are welcome.
We have a simple structure to the hour. After a greeting and introduction there's a short reading from the mystics leading into a silent group meditation for 15-20 minutes. After this all are welcomed to share insights from the reading... or the meditation... or spiritual living in Vermont. We end with another 5-10 minute silent meditation and closing words. The sessions can go from 45 minutes to an hour depending on number of participants.
Group meditation can create a powerful field. When many minds go deep together the resonance can become palpable. It's exciting to think of meditation's well known effects on the individual, and on small groups, now filling the environment of a whole state.
